About the artist
“Being a tourist, a hunter, a fisherman and a canoeist I travelled a lot down the rivers and lakes of Karelia, the Urals and Belorussia.
My pictures are based on my traveller’s impressions.
My other passion is opera and classical music. Love of nature lives in the soul of every man and I try to express it in my paintings. You may mentally enter my landscape paintings, feel as if you are inside them and then go out.
When I was painting one of my landscapes, from the depth of my soul a poem came:
Deep water, forest,
Wide sky,
My soul flows up above
Unhurriedly
