In Nizhny Novgorod (the museum and exhibition complex Arsenal was the first stage of the international mobile symposium NEMOSKVA.

According to the organizers, the main goal of the large-scale Nemoscow project is to study the situation with contemporary art in the regions of Russia, as well as the promotion of local artists and curators.

Within the framework of the mobile NEMOSKVA symposium, the project participants will visit Perm, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok.

"NEMOSKVA is not a review of works. We are looking for and collecting ideas that the artists wanted, but could not realize, - said project commissioner Alisa Prudnikova, Regional Development Director of ROSIZO. - We sent out information about the upcoming project - and received a lot of ideas of potential art projects from artists from all over the country. Of these, we selected the top 15 - and we will represent these projects in 12 cities of Russia as part of one-day traveling exhibitions. These exhibitions in each city will be able to visit not only the expert jury, but also ordinary spectators. As a result, we will select the finalists whose works will be held in the next stage of the project and will be presented already at the exposition in Moscow and abroad. "

Travel to 12 cities of Russia will end on September 8. The project involves more than 60 experts in the field of art. Participants will hold discussions, presentations of ideas and demonstrate the exhibition "The Big Country - Great Ideas".
