Why not? Why shouldn’t I tell you about a love, out of this world, which swept over me in the year of my coming of age (21 according to an old English tradition) and tippled my mind into the Sky? Or maybe that’s where my mind was originally coming from? Well, anyway that short episode (just a few months) dramatically changed my inner life.
Love.
Given to me by God.
A divine revelation that was also God,
Which filled the whole of myself –
From head to foot
Leaving no crevices or splits…
So I turned away from that Love –
I was too young and afraid of Death
And that Love was as sweet as Death…
